Docomomo US is the U.S. chapter of Docomomo International, a non-profit organization dedicated to the documentation and conservation of buildings, sites, and neighborhoods of the modern movement. The 2022 Docomomo US National Symposium was held in Philadelphia and our team had the honor of branding the event.
After exploring various images, patterns, and hues, the final logo highlighted the work of Philadelphia architect, Louis Kahn, and the LOEWS Hotel landmark building while window shapes created striking patterns in the mark. Finally, vintage 1970s poster design inspired the purple and ochre hues that evoked the rich history of the movement.
Thus a visual ensemble unfolded for the event matching the excitement of the conversations and community of the symposium attendees.
